About Us

Street Connection Radio (SCR) is a radio show that specializes in SQUEAKY clean Hip-Hop and R&B. Mere radio edits of songs do not fit the squeaky clean format that Street Connection Radio adopted. So the majority of songs played by SRC are mixed with squeaky clean edits by Omar, who is the Producer of SCR. Songs that promote/encourage/em-brass violence, sex, drug use, racism, or improper behavior are either not played on Street Connection Radio or mixed in such a way that negativity is erased from the song. SCR believes music can effect /influence peoples behavior so SCR takes pride in promoting positive music to uplift the community.

SCR consists of Omar, Spoaty on Deck, and MouthPie$e. SCR was created by Omar and Spoaty in December 2015. SCR made its debut on KCEP 88.1 FM in December 2015. Mouthpie$e was added to the SCR team in February 2017. SCR was picked up by KWLP 100.9 FM in June of 2017 which SCR began it’s first sydicated show.

SCR includes the very popular Street Connection Radio Indie Spotlight which give indie artists a chance to get their music played on FM radio. The show also includes the Street Connection Radio question of the day which strikes up debates and conversations about current hot topics.
